Mid Week Mish Mash

Big mouth billionaire Donald Trump's second ex-wife Marla Maples sells big but hopelessly ordinary Calabasas (CA) mansion for $2.2 million and moves back to New York City. (Trulia Luxe Living)

Celebrity hairstylist Sally Hershberger—queen mother of the $800 hair cut—re-lists her sleek and meticulously updated mid-century modern residence in Beverly Hills' ever-so-trendy and spendy Trousdale Estates 'hood with a $6.9 million price tag. David Cassidy's third ex-wife, Sue Shifrin, listed the erstwhile couple's former marital mansion in Fort Lauderdale (FL) for $4.495 million. In other David Cassidy real estate news (in case you care): Last summer (2012) the weirdly volatile former heart throb surrendered a $1.35 million condo in Fort Lauderdale's Los Olas area to his lender rather than suffer the public indignity of foreclosure. He apparently owns another $1.7 million beach side condo in the area. (Trulia Luxe Living, Gossip Extra)

After some sort of kerfuffle over the amount of their security deposit returned by the real estate mogul landlord of their former summer rental in East Hampton (NY) Bill and Hill Clinton opted to drop an A-list wad of cash on a $200,000 per month summer rental with six bedrooms and private beach access in nearby Sagaponack. The owner of the Sagaponack home? Big time Republican donor Michael Saperstein. (New York Post)

Just over half a year after it appeared in all its glory in the glossy pages of Architectural Digest, scruffy-faced decorating lifestyle guru Nate Berkus has unloaded his New York City townhouse duplex to stylish online art auctioneer Alexander Gilkes and his magnificently named new wife, Bahraini fashion designer Misha Nonoo, for just under five million big ones. Media savvy Mister Berkus and his chisel-chinned fiancée Jeremiah Brent, who share a rented mid-century residence in L.A.'s Hollywood Hills, are much rumored to be in contract to acquire a terraced duplex penthouse on lower Fifth Avenue.  (New York Observer)

Poor Halsey Minor. The CNET founder, who sold his company for $1.8 billion five years ago, blew through a fortune on swank houses, hotels, high brow art and horses. This week, after more failed attempts that we care to count, the bankrupt former tech tycoon's (in)famous über-modern manse in L.A.'s tony Bel Air neighborhood is back up for sale with a asking price of $14.95 million, more than five million bucks less than the $20 million he paid for the place in 2006. (Redfin)

Did y'all hear that New York City's gajillionaire may Michael Bloomberg dropped more than $13,000 on a custom built copper bathtub? Well, apparently he did. (Gawker)

Yeezis—or whatever silly name Kanye West goes by nowadays—has had to once again reduce the price of his art-filled bachelor pad in the Hollywood Hills. Blah...blah...blah... (TMZ)

::::::::

In case you missed it, Rosie O'Donnell has been on a real estate spree the last year or so and she's now reported to be in contract to drop $5.6 million on a water front home up the coast a bit from Palm Beach in Jupiter Inlet Colony that's owned by Olivia Newton-John and listed for $6.1 million. The Bel Air Modern house that was featured in AD few years back is completely infested with Mold says all the agents and the listing says bring developer/contractor. Sad state of affairs as the house was stunning. Due to water issues it will have to be razzed!

This guy Halsey Minor takes the word stupid to a "whole nother" level. What a putz.

“I love being an entrepreneur even though it involves financial risk,”“ Minor, a native of Charlottesville, Virginia, said in an e-mailed statement cited by his hometown’s Daily Progress newspaper. ““But if you win some you are going to lose some too.”

Huh?
